Description

We offer for sale a unique water mill in Mikulůvka, which has retained its individuality, atmosphere, and functional technologies even after years.
It is an original brick mill with preserved milling equipment and an adjacent timbered house with a wooden structure, located in the part of the village of Mikulůvka.
The mill is connected to the municipal water supply, sewage, and electricity. Part of the electrical installation is made of copper. The main part of the building has a renovated roof made of glazed tiles. The water wheel and the entire system are operational, but require basic renovation and replacement of the drive.
The brick building has 3 floors with milling equipment, one room used as an office. In another room with a separate entrance, there is a toilet with a shower and an electric boiler for heating water.
The timbered house offers a living area with two rooms on the ground floor and one insulated room in the attic. Heating is provided by electric heating. The roof of the timbered house is made of vacuum impregnated shingles. Half of the roof was renovated in 2021, and the other half needs to be replaced.
The property breathes history — the first mentions of the mill date back to 1618. Wood, blacksmithing, and mechanical engineering are preserved here in their authentic form, while the technical condition allows for gradual renovations without the need for extensive demolition work.
The entire property is registered as a cultural monument.
"Today's mill, standing on the site of an older building from 1618, contains a gable wall at the water intake and water wheel from a building from 1811, supplemented in other parts by a new building from 1938. The interior equipment includes a two-cylinder mill for grinding rye and a four-cylinder mill for grinding wheat and a feed mill. The ground floor living area is timbered with a living room and kitchen. It is a valuable technical monument with potential museum use." Citation from the Ministry of Culture's statement from 1991.
Properties of this type appear rarely and represent a unique opportunity for those who appreciate museum style and the possibility of realizing their own vision in an authentic environment. If you are interested in a tour, please do not hesitate to contact us.
