Description
We offer for sale a former manor house in the village of Domaniža with a total land area of 2010m2.
The last owner of the manor in Domaniža was Baroness Melánia Schwaben Durneissová, who subsequently left for Hungary before World War II and donated the entire manor to children.
Since 1949, the manor has been a recovery center, which was later renamed to the District Children's Home in Domaniža, for children aged three to eighteen. In 1988, an additional extension was built to the manor to increase the number of children. The children's home operated here until 2010.
The manor is suitable for a large business venture, as it has many residential rooms, is fully basement, has connections to engineering networks, is not subject to the heritage office, has a huge attic, and reconstruction according to one's own plan is possible.
The building is suitable as a tourist hotel or guesthouse, retirement home, corporate headquarters, or apartment building. The surroundings of the manor offer a beautiful environment for tourism, walks, and excursions to the area.
You can find the entire advertisement along with a video of the property on the TUreality website.
Currently, the manor is uninhabited and is looking for a new owner. Nearby are thermal baths and the spa town of Rajecké Teplice.
The village of Domaniža is located in the middle of the Domaniža basin, on the border of the Strážov and Súľov mountains. The entire area of the village is very rich in drinking water, thus it is classified among the important protected water management areas of Slovakia. The Domanižanka river flows through the village, which springs in the northern parts of the Strážov mountains at an altitude of 490 m above sea level, has three springs, and flows into the Váh - in summer it does not dry up and in winter it does not freeze.
Among the most significant cultural monuments is the Gothic Roman Catholic Church of St. Nicholas the Bishop from the 13th century, which has the reputation of being the most beautiful church in the Middle Považie, and the Rococo Marian column from the 18th century with a statue of the Virgin Mary from the 19th century.
