Ref. No. 06936 It's not a house for everyone. But if you're looking for space that you can transform according to your own taste, this place will be fun for you. You get a lot of music for little money. This saying came to mind when I first saw the house in Plavy.
The generously designed house has two apartments, a garage, a workshop, and a spacious garden. In need of investment but reasonable purchase price makes up for it all. For similar money today you can buy an apartment block 3+1. Or this big house and still have room left over for renovation according to your own ideas.
Plavy is a small village with excellent accessibility and strategic location at the foothills of the Jizera Mountains. Located on the main route Prague – Harrachov, it lies in quite a busy spot. At the same time you are 15 minutes from Jablonec, 30 minutes from Liberec, and 20 minutes from Turnov.
The nearest complete civic amenities can be found in Tanvald which is approximately five minutes drive away – supermarkets, schools, hospitals, and cafes. There is only basic amenities directly in Plavy. However, everything is compensated by its strategic position for leisure activities. Within 30 minutes by car you are in the Jizera Mountains, Giant Mountains, or Bohemian Paradise.
The house was built about halfway through last century and originally served as an apartment building with shared social facilities. There were five smaller residential units connected by a common corridor and staircase with a shared bathroom. Over the years, owners converted the house into two-generation housing. The last major modifications took place around mid-90. decade.
At present, the house is spatially arranged as 5+2 with a shared bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs there is an apartment 2+1 and four smaller attic chambers each measuring approximately 12 sqm. This apartment underwent light modernization including plastic windows installed here. Although divided by the main hallway downstairs where unit 3+1 is located, it cannot be used as a standard apartment in its current state.
The entire house offers very generous space due to its layout offering interesting potential for future reconstruction.
Heating is partially provided by gas boiler central heating, partly by stoves in individual rooms and original solid fuel boiler can also be utilized. Water heating is ensured by electric water heater currently nonfunctional. House is connected to water supply line and sewage is solved via septic tank overflowing into public sewage system.
There belongs slightly sloping garden measuring almost 1 000 sqm and outbuilding on right side of the house. Downstairs there is garage, then sheds, workshop, hay barn, and other storage spaces upstairs during daytime. Space for realization of your dreams and ideas won't be missing here definitely.
